New Volunteer Training

Join us for this in-person training event for new volunteers with Safe Families.

When: February 5th

Time: 1-5pm (join us for lunch at 12:30 if you are able)

Where: Church for the Harvest 1475 41st Ave W - Alexandria

This training will:

• Equip you to support local families experiencing a crisis situation
• Walk you through the approval and vetting process
• Help you decide where you fit as a volunteer with Safe Families
• Certify you as a volunteer so you can respond to needs as it fits your life and capacity at the time
• Keep you informed of needs as they come along as needs are only shared with certified volunteers due to confidentiality

If you want to be a support to local families we encourage you to come to the training and get certified as a volunteer even if you are unsure of what capacity and time you have to serve. By being an approved volunteer you will be equipped and ready to jump in when there is a situation you want to help with and you are able to fit it into your life.  You will also be kept informed of the needs as they are only shared with approved volunteers due to confidentiality.
